As of January 1, 2020, the jurisdiction of Small Claims court increased from $25,000 to $35,000.  Given this substantial increase, it is important for lawyers, paralegals and students to be effective in this court. 

Hear from two deputy judges on what to do and what not to do in terms of pleadings, settlement conferences, trials and motions.  After this seminar, you will be able to immediately implement these tips and this knowledge into your practice.

Deputy Judge Miller also discusses some of the issues related to covid-19 which has impacted the legal system, including small claims court.  Deputy Judge Trudell recommends that you proceed with your claim and encourages you to try virtual hearings.
